TAYA FERDINAND

Tell us a little bit about yourself. 

My name is Taya and I'm a Ukrainian visual artist, graphic designer and illustrator. I describe my work as magical realism with surreal, postmodern and symbolic influences.

While growing up in the Ukrainian countryside, I was surrounded by people who truly believe in the spiritual world and superstitions, and as I spent my childhood taking care of chickens and goats, I developed a huge kinship in folklore and mystic and a deep connection to animals. 

Another part of my work is based on spirituality in the modern world. Through my art, I show emotion of the moment and storytelling through colour and light. 

For around 5 years, I have been working professionally as a Graphics & UI Designer for different companies and agencies in Berlin. I relocated to Sweden a few months ago and currently live in Malmö, where I create my art.

What would be your dream superPOWER?
