Tell us a little bit about yourself. 

Hi! I’m Lily, an artist and mum of two beautiful children living in Canberra, Australia.   

Like most creatives, I was always drawing and making things as a child. I went on to study art history and curatorial studies at university, and completed a Masters of Fine Arts majoring in drawing. I have since exhibited widely internationally and have undertaken artist residencies in Paris and Scotland.

My art practice explores identity, representation, womanhood, and motherhood. I paint how I know to be - wrapped up in a warm jumper at home, contemplating the human condition, and balancing connection to others with my tendency towards introversion.

My portraits convey strong, empowered humans doing life. Their strength is simply being.

What would be your dream superPOWER? 

A superpower to me would be the ability to provide food, clean water, a safe & loving home and access to education for every human. If I could do that, then I’d be one happy superhero! There's definitely more on the list, but I'd start there.
